Mrs. Gleason has a degree in Urban Planning from the University of New Orleans and over 13 years of experience as a professional planner, environmental steward, and healthy and sustainable place-maker. She previously managed the Baton Rouge Brownfield Program, which involved multiple planning and economic development initiatives. In this role, she worked with various partnering agencies at the local, state and federal level on projects and grants related to brownfield redevelopment.  As manager of long range planning she oversaw the Historic Preservation Program, Complete Streets and master plan implementation of FUTUREBR.

 

Prior to joining the Baton Rouge City/Parish Planning Commission in 2017, Mrs. Gleason worked in Louisiana’s Northshore Communities, including Mandeville, Covington and Abita Springs; providing professional services related to landscape, land use and urban forestry. Originally from Mount Shasta, California, Mrs. Gleason is a mother of two, and enjoys spending time outdoors and introducing her children and husband to all of the natural beauty Louisiana has to offer.
