New Orleans wins Phoenix Award

December 9, 2017

The New Orleans Juvenile Justice Center was the recipient of the prestigious Phoenix Award at last week's National Brownfields Conference. The award recognizes exemplary brownfield redevelopment and revitalization. Brownfields funding, along with several other funding sources, was used to redevelop this property after it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Congratulations New Orleans!

LBA was well represented at Brownfields 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA December 4-7. Our leadership networked with State and Federal decision-makers, attended education sessions, and accepted the Region 6 Phoenix Award on behalf of the City of New Orleans! LBA's President Claire Renault accepted the award, below.
