Map of the eight sub-state regional planning and development districts that are members of the Louisiana Association of Planning and Development Districts (LAPDD). The district organizations are composed of professionals working for the growth and development of their areas. Each is governed by a board composed of public and private area leaders, including Parish Councilmen and Jurors, Mayors, businessmen, and minority representation.

1) Regional Planning Commission for Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard and St. Tammany Parishes (RPC) - Twenty six member board of local elected officials and citizen members, appointed to represent the citizenry on regional issues.
2) Capital Region Planning Commission (CRPC) - A Council of Governments serving the eleven-parish Capital Region, which includes the following Parishes: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.
3) South Central Planning Development Commission (SCPDC) - The SCPDC performs a variety of services to meet the ever changing needs and challenges of its member governments. These services include long range planning, state and federal liaison, current issues, membership services and services to business and citizens. In all, South Central Planning is a diverse, ever changing Commission serving many different constituencies - made especially for (and by) local governments in the South Central Region.
4) Acadiana Regional Development District (ARDD) - A regional planning and resource center for the State of Louisiana, serving the eight parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion.
5) Imperial Calcasieu Regional Planning and Development Commission (IMCAL) - A regional planning commission serving the parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jeff Davis.
6) Kisatchie-Delta Regional Planning & Development District - A non-profit, planning and development agency serving 54 member governments within eight parishes of central Louisiana.
7) Coordinating and Development Corporation (CDC) - Originally chartered in 1954, the CDC is a private, nonprofit, membership-supported corporation that serves the economic, community, and business development needs of 10 parishes in Northwest Louisiana, eight counties in Northeast Texas and four counties in Southwest Arkansas.
8) North Delta Economic Development District Council, Inc. - Originally formed under the provision of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, Title 12; the articles of incorporation were amended on July 13, 1972 to change the name of the organization to North Delta Regional Planning & Development District, Inc. By Executive Order in 1973 we became one of eight regional planning and development districts created by the Louisiana Legislature.
